Ecological Complexity Lab Elucidating the complexity of ecological systems

Matan's Concluding Seminar

On June 30th, our first PhD student, Matan Markfeld gave his concluding seminar, a major milestone marking the end of his PhD journey in the lab. Matan’s research has focused on how environmental gradients and land-use changes shape the structure of ecological networks, from the microbiome to host-parasite interactions and disease transmission. His work, combining network analysis and field ecology, has been a wonderful contribution to the lab. We are proud of everything you’ve accomplished, Matan, and excited for you! Congratulations, and best of luck for what comes next!
